CTC and Marcum put the spotlight on innovation and growth in Connecticut’s technology sector by recognizing the state’s 40 fastest growing tech companies.
HARTFORD, Conn. (August 2, 2011) - The Connecticut Technology Council (CTC) and Marcum LLP have announced the 2011 Marcum Tech Top 40 list of the 40 fastest growing technology companies in Connecticut. Winners are grouped into six areas of technology: Software, IT Services, Life Sciences, Advanced Manufacturing, New Media/Internet/Telecom, and Energy/ Environmental Technologies. Winners are selected on the basis of revenue growth over the last four years. Companies considered for this recognition have at least $3M in revenue, with some of this year’s winning public companies exceeding $1Billion.

The 2011 winners are primarily privately held companies, but 12 public companies also made the list, including: Priceline.com, FuelCell Energy and FactSet Research. Geographically, Fairfield and New Haven Counties led with 15 companies each followed by Hartford County with seven companies.

Six category winners and the company with the greatest percentage revenue growth across all technology verticals will be announced that evening.
