Natural State Research, Inc. (NSR), a research and development company has the solution at our disposal. NSR has developed a unique technology (patent pending and award winning) to dispose of any type of waste plastics by converting it into a liquid fuel. This process can produce approximately 1200-1300 ml of NSR fuel from one kilogram of waste plastic. The fuel production process yields is about 95% and the other 5% is solid reside. The exact yield depends on the type of plastic, and the grade of NSR fuel desired. The technology is environmentally friendly. As per preliminary tests the produced fuel burns efficiently and relatively clean and it would be produced at a lower overall cost.
Based on the available statistics, USA alone generates 48 million tons of waste plastic annually. Using this technology, these vast amounts of waste plastics can be converted to staggering 16,128–18,144 Billion gallons of NSR fuel. NSR fuels are similar to gasoline, diesel, aviation, jet fuel, home heating oil and fuel oil. It can efficiently power any generators, cars, trucks, airplanes, fuel power plant and other internal combustion engines. Research indicates that probably it is not necessary to retrofit the engines for NSR use in order to have maximum efficiency.1 gallon of NSR Fuel can produce 36-40 kWh of electricity.
NSR has demonstrated the feasibility of producing electricity from its fuel. The production process is simple and inexpensive, and it will provide fuel at a cost that is more attractive than gasoline. Once the fuel production process is automated and efficiencies in the production are obtained, the produced fuel should have a retail price that would be lower and more stable than conventional fuels such as commercially available gasoline and diesel.
